Our Story

Sisters of Zion is a women’s ministry of Deliverance Church Entebbe.

It consists of women in the ages 15 years and above. The women saw the need to minister to the body of Christ through the different gifts and abilities of the different age groups.

Our Call

Beyond the church we are called to meet the needs of the people beyond us, this includes the community and village where we are a part of.

  • Pray for the people who need salvation; write their names in a book and celebrate them when they come to Christ.
  • Live a holy and exemplary life in our communities. Be an example of love; look for ways to help others
  • Witness for Jesus. SOZ ladies can also go in pairs witnessing from door to door
  • Inviting people to church

God calls us to serve the body of Christ through the different gifts and calling he has given to us.

  • Pray for it by being specific about the church’s needs
  • Attend church regularly and be loyal to the local church
  • Support the church financially and being involved in the agenda to spread the gospel
  • Care for the church; clean the church regularly, plant flowers and wash the windows etc
  • Support each other financially, materially, physically and spiritually

God created the home first. Later the church came to be. For our spiritual life to be effective and have influence in any other sphere it must start in a home. This objective therefore requires us to;

  • Live a Christ like life in our homes
  • Pray for our homes. Praying for our husbands and children everyday
  • Win our family to the Lord and pray for their salvation
  • Attend SOZ meetings regularly to build us up spiritually
  • Farther our skill and understanding through teachings of the SOZ ministry like Bible study, handiwork, cookery, health education and home/family care
