Pastors Heart

UNTIL CHRIST IS FORMED IN YOU

As the year begins, let’s beware that from 2021 onwards, some events will begin happening that require holistic preparation on the part of the Body of Christ.

Religion will increasingly come forth to sanctify what God hates. They will come out using the name of God to declare God’s blessings to a people and systems that are anti-God and many will be led astray.

Media in all its forms is going to boldly speak for evil; mock at what is sacred, promote lies and wickedness. Families and nations should be alert to this fact because media core in the molding of people’s minds and destiny. We should be so knowledgeable and full of the Spirit to say it is not ok!” look out for content that enriches your life and church culture.

God ordained governments will be under attack by spiritual forces of evil seeking to influence nations will evil machinations. We must pray for nations not only our nation.

All these circumstances lend opportunity and challenge to the Christian to pursue the ultimate goal of our walk in the faith – maturity in Christ. To be able to stand for Christ, the believer who is susceptible to the modern day seeker friendly ‘gospel’ may find it difficult to stand in the faith.

Therefore more immediately, the Christian must be strengthened in the inner man to withstand all testing of faith, live with an attitude of discernment , endurance, uncompromising resolve, tenacity, focus, integrity and many more non-negotiable attributes that must characterize every believer.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world, the church and individual Christians leaving some strong, some weak and others fallen away. It is unfortunate that some believers are living in denial leaving unsuspecting communities and the church exposed to the impact of this pandemic. Scripture says“…that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22). There is no better person from whom we can learn how to respond than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. His formation in the Christian will be the fountain of strength for the believer.

Our focus in 2021 will therefore be…”until Christ is formed in you.” Galatians 4:19

National Anthem

Oh Uganda! may God uphold thee,
We lay our future in thy hand.
United, free,
For liberty
Together we’ll always stand.

Oh Uganda! the land of freedom.
Our love and labour we give,
And with neighbours all
At our country’s call
In peace and friendship we’ll live.

Oh Uganda! the land that feeds us
By sun and fertile soil grown.
For our own dear land,
We’ll always stand:
The Pearl of Africa’s Crown.
