Attitude of Gratitude

We must learn to count our blessings
God created the earth and everyday he sat back and appreciated, and said it is good. Genesis 1:4,10, 12, 18, 22, 25, 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. NIV. Each day he looked back it was good. He was counting his blessings one by one.
As humans we have been corrupted and wired to look at the negative things. But when we learn to count our blessings we shall develop a heart and attitude of gratitude..
It is good to look at the past and thank God for the things in the past. It helps us to see where God has brought us from. More than living in the past, we should live in the present and be thankful for the present. There is something good in each of our lives in the present. As we learn to express our gratitude to God all the time, we should also show our gratitude to those around us. Reach out to those who have made a difference in to your life. This how to cultivate a heart of gratitude. Let us learn to celebrate small gains not just the big things only. Revelation 12:11 KJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. When we give thanks even in the small things, we become aware of the things God is doing in our lives. We recognize that whatever those around us do for us, there is a cost.
Let is develop a habit and lifestyle of thanksgiving. It should be something we do everyday. As we give thanks and thank others around us, we create a cycle of thankfulness around us.
Thankfulness activates a spirit of giving in us.
Develop an attitude and also help others to do the same, as a result we create a river of thankfulness

10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

God’s giving to us is not just for us to be rich but so that we will be able to give to others.
Our giving to others is an act/action of thankfulness to God.
Giving and thanks are two sides of the same coin.
This act serves as a link between giving and receiving
If God chose to be a blessing in his mighty power, why can’t we be a blessing to fellow men.
God gives us everything so we can love him more and love our neighbors too.
In giving we show gratitude and inspire thankfulness.
In giving our lives change from grumbling to gratitude
As we give we create a river of thankfulness and thanksgiving.
