Restore my wasted years

Our Focus

“The Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and have ruined their vines.

(Nahum 2:2)

Apr-Jun is a time of  introspection and re-dedication, we shall call and wait on God to restore our wasted years.

In Pursuit of God for Restoration

God alone can restore lost time because nothing is impossible with him. He has also promised it in his word.

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25 KJV

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” 1 Peter 5;10 NIV

“For Jehovah restoreth the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel; for the emptiers have emptied them out and destroyed their vine-branches.” Nahum 2:2 ASV

Led by the Spirit, God will enable us to bring restoration of the fallen brethren, broken family relationships, broken interpersonal relationships and bridge the gap between children and their parents.

It is written

“He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.” Malachi 4:6 NIV

Intervention will also be in our personal lives – healing for physical and unseen wounds, lack of energy and enthusiasm, losses of all kinds, wastage of previous years, unresolved personal and family challenges. We shall seek the Lord to also deal with loneliness, rejection, despair of unrealized expectations / aspirations, and deep-seated bitterness among other areas the Spirit of God will reveal.

During this season, we shall enhance Bible study groups with a component of care and support for one another. This will provide an environment where each believer deliberately looks out for each other and cares for one another. This component of care will also be possible by God enabling us to build small ‘family’ units within the congregation. The purpose of these units will be to create, nurture and sustain a sense of family where individuals find refreshment, emotional support, counsel etc. from one another.

It is written

“And let us continue to consider how to motivate one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another even more as you see the day of the Lord coming nearer.”  Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

The church will do outreaches to present the Gospel in word and deed. We shall also place emphasis on the children’s church and allow God to restore wasted years.
