Another Dimension
It is true that when we accept Christ in our lives, we are fulfilled. (Jn10:10) But there is another dimension. Having Christ in our lives creates a hunger for an ultimate fulfilment – to bring glory to God by fruitful living; He said, “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (Jn15:8)
A life existing for this purpose is ablaze with zeal to touch lives. It utilizes opportunities for impact. This is a world of “good and faithful servants.”(Mt:25:14-30)
Such lives are aware that there is a timeframe within which purpose must be fulfilled. Their physical bodies communicate to them daily. “Behold I have carried you faithfully for long, but am wearing out. The skin is not firm. Sight is failing. Breasts are sagging. Face has wrinkles…”
Time must come when we demand answers to questions like; “why am I this talented?” What’s the purpose of this beautiful voice?” ” When will all these abilities start bearing fruit in the Kingdom?”
Getting the right answers to these and more questions propels us to destiny fulfilment. We begin to tirelessly work with the Lord – bearing fruit, changing lives, confronting the enemy, building the Kingdom. Passion rises within purpose driven lives. Zeal for Christ is their drive. There is no room for complacency and vain glory. Satan knows productive ones. He is not bothered by those who still languish in excitement about how gifted they are!
Prayer: Lord, teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. In Jesus Name.
